Chicago Cubs v Pittsburgh Pirates

It didn’t take long for baseball to issue their first suspension of the season, but today, they announced Baltimore Orioles pitcher Daniel McCutchen has been suspended 50 games for testing positive for violating the minor league baseball drug policy.

McCutchen, who played in the Pirates organization from 2009-2012, is currently playing for the Orioles Triple-A squad in Norfolk. Baltimore signed the right-hander to a minor league deal back on November 12th.

In his career, he has recorded a 4.77 ERA, 5.00 FIP and 4.98 xFIP in 108 appearances in the big leagues.
