I think that this is important to look at because much of the writing you’ll read today about Robinson will cover his quiet courage in pursuing equality for African Americans. And rightfully so. However, it’s also worth remembering that he was an incredible baseball player, as this graph reminds us, that led the way for more incredible baseball players to contribute their talents to the sport that we all love [D.P.].
