The New York Yankees will be without shortstop Derek Jeter until after the All-Star break after a CT scan showed a small crack in his ankle.
Derek Jeter has a small crack in the area of the previous injury, per a CT scan. Cashman says he won’t be back until after All-Star Break.

Mo Vaughn, who played eight years for the Boston Red Sox, took out a half-page ad in The Boston Globe Thursday saying the city of Boston is “the greatest sports town in the country”.

Astros Coach Hit By Batting Practice Protection Screen

Scary and unusual scene today in Oakland, as Houston Astros coach Jeff Murphy was struck by the batting practice protection screen during BP. Murphy, who is in his first season as the team’s bullpen catcher / catching instructor, was throwing batting practice at the time, when the wind blew the screen over.
He was carried of the field after looking to injure his leg.
