Mike Constantino says Jim Miller “really motivated to fight in front of his home fans”

Today’s “The MMA Show with Mauro Ranallo” podcast featured sound bites from Mike Constantino, the AMA Fight Club head trainer whose stable of talent includes UFC fighters Jim and Dan Miller and Charlie Brenneman. Here’s what Constantino had to say about Jim Miller getting the call to fight Nate Diaz at UFC on FOX 3 in Miller’s home state of New Jersey.

“It’s on the path to where he wants to go and that’s the belt. Jim and my whole camp have the utmost respect for the Diaz brothers and Cesar Gracie. Personally, for me, the Diaz brothers are two of my favourite fighters I know Jim respects the Diaz’ as well but we have to put that aside and concentrate on the task at hand. Jim is ecstatic about the exposure from being on FOX and that the fight’s here in New Jersey less than 45 minutes away from our gym. He’s already got 100 phone calls from people who want tickets and they haven’t even been printed yet. We’re going to have a big crowd in our backyard and Jim gets really motivated to fight in front of his home fans.”
