As wonderful as Twitter is for the way it allows us a glimpse into the lives of athletes and celebrities, some people aren’t cut out for absorbing the slings and arrows of the critics and haters. It would appear that New Jersey Nets guard Chris Douglas-Roberts — who lost his starting role and played a season-low nine minutes in last night’s loss to the Pistons — is one of those people who should probably get off Twitter.

I don’t know… I find it kind of funny and annoying at the same time. When celebrities go “off” like this it’s like watching a flame war on a forum, but only one users’ responses are shown and all other conversations are hidden. On the other hand, I just don’t care when they complain about “such and such” and “so and so”. Reminds me too much of shitty reality TV. Obviously the Nets organization isn’t amused and I’m sure some fans don’t enjoy being told what they can and cannot do.
I’d prefer if someone gave him a slap and not a hug =P.

I suspect that playing for the Nets could make any player borderline suicidal.
