Calgary-born wide receiver Nate Burleson once rapped, “Where the cash at?”
Hat tip: PFT
After signing a hard-to-believe deal with the Detroit Lions, Burleson should consider writing his next rap about Megan Fox or something.
According to ESPN’s John Clayton, Burleson has signed a five-year, $25 million deal that includes an eye-popping $11 million in guaranteed money.
Five million dollars per year and more than two years guaranteed for Nate Burleson? In seven years, the guy’s hit the 1,000-yard mark once. He’s never had 70 catches in his career.
I think the Lions have made some good moves over the last couple years. Louis Delmas will be a star one day, and Matthew Stafford’s off to a solid start. But bad choices at wideout continue to kill this team.
