The NFL’s 1,900 players have been locked out for 18 days, and they’re beginning to get restless. Some are (allegedly) taking part in family shootings, some are getting tossed from malls and some are taking up professional soccer.

And others are looking to replace Gilbert Gottfried as the next Aflac duck voice.

Dhani Jones isn’t new to acting, but he’s definitely turning the outrageous level up a notch or seven. The bowtie-wearing Bengals linebacker considers himself an artist as well as an athlete, but his competition could be fierce here. Apparently over 1,000 have applied for the gig — Gottfried lost it after making controversial remarks about Japan — including Weird Al Yankovic.

If Jones can somehow beat out Weird Al and 1,000 others, expect to see that annoying duck in a bowtie.
