Apparently, there’s a 70 percent chance the 2011 NFL season will be interrupted by the work stoppage that is currently into its 80th day. But that isn’t stopping popular sports sites from officially launching the new fantasy football season.
Every big business that relies on football has been negatively affected by the lockout, so I’m fully expecting fantasy sports to struggle as well. That said, maybe these early launches are an attempt to grab fans before they become further embittered by the labor mess … or before they even know it’s happening.
Regardless, NFL.com isn’t confident enough to join the party at this early juncture…
