And it just so happens that he was already on their roster. The Ravens have agreed to re-sign versatile offensive lineman Marshal Yanda to a five-year, $32 million contract, according to Jason La Canfora of NFL Network.

Big move for Baltimore, who might still lose troubled but talented tackle Jared Gaither. The (extra) good news is that Yanda can play the tackle position; he stepped in and filled the right tackle role when Michael Oher was forced to fill Gaither’s spot on the left side for much of the 2010 season.

Yanda will likely move back to guard in 2011, where he’s probably more valuable. We’ll see if that helps Ray Rice to bounce back after a rough season. That means the Ravens will likely have to rely on third-round pick Jah Reid or three-year veteran Oniel Cousins succeed in the starting right tackle spot (assuming they lose Gaither).
