Or at least he will be tomorrow, according to Albert Breer of NFL Network.
And so on the same day that the Eagles traded away Michael Vick’s backup, they’ve signed a better athlete with more upside and a style more similar Vick’s to take Kevin Kolb’s place.
The fact that’s it’s reportedly just a one-year deal protects the Eagles while pushing Young to work hard and stay on task. This is a wonderful move.
Both players have rocket arms and great legs. Imagine the two of them on the field together? Are there two greater duel-threat quarterbacks in the game? Yes, I realize that Young has some off-field issues and that both players exhibit questionable decision-making at times. But Vick proved in 2010 that he can be a top-end starter and Young will easily be one of the best backups in the game.
This is dangerous, simply dangerous.
Have fun, Marty Mornhinweg. You’re now the envy of every offensive coordinator in the NFL.
