We’ve reached the point where we’re almost desensitized to absurd NFL fines. The league’s intention to protect quarterbacks is well known, but yet in terms of monetary value a roughing the passer penalty isn’t too far above the punishment for wearing orange shoes two weeks in a row.

We’re also aware of the NFL’s continued and often asinine desire to be the No Fun League. Long ago that passed the point of being notable too, even though it’s no less baffling.

But this is getting ridiculous…
