Along with Bill Belichick, Aaron Rodgers and Tony Romo, Jim Harbaugh is one of four NFL celebrities participating in this week’s AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-Am. But there’s actually a fifth NFLer on the course, because Harbaugh’s quarterback is acting as his caddy.

That’s right, Alex Smith apparently wasn’t famous enough to earn an invite, but he carried Harbaugh’s clubs yesterday. And he didn’t half-ass it.

From Tim Kawakami of the San Jose Mercury News:

Throughout the long round, Smith was the dutiful caddie, carefully raking the sand traps after Harbaugh blasted out and methodically searching through the dunes and trees whenever Harbaugh knocked tee shots deep into trouble.

Smith didn’t read the greens for Harbaugh’s putts, but the two were talking and laughing the entire round.
