If poorly-used disposable income can purchase a billboard in Denver and put Tim Tebow under center, then surely that’ll work for a quarterback with enough throwing talent to complete a forward pass, right?

This afternoon the inevitable Peyton Manning billboard pictured above was spotted in Fort Lauderdale near the Dolphins’ training facility. The giant poster of Manning in a Dolphins jersey is fantastic enough, but it doesn’t end there.

The billboard space was purchased by the appropriately named “Manning to Miami” group, which has a website that opens with this piece of propaganda wizardry…

The site’s homepage has several other Photoshops of Manning in a Dolphins jersey that are awkward and uncomfortable. You can join the charge by buying and proudly wearing a Manning to Miami shirt, and voting to support the push for Manning to wear teal after reading this mission statement:

Be Part OF “The Movement” and Make History – BRING MANNING TO MIAMI – This site has been created to help influence Peyton Manning and the Miami Dolphins that “Manning to Miami” is a movement and marriage that the entire South Florida community is behind. Tell family, friends (even enemies), tell co-workers, business associates to cast their vote and make a difference in Bringing Manning to Miami.

How many wins is Manning worth? When’s the last time we the fans have had an “impact” quarterback? What about the most cerebral quarterback of all time?

Get behind this movement and let your vote be your voice and make a difference!

There’s a Twitter account too, and the signatures will apparently be presented to both the Dolphins and Manning’s representatives. Archie will undoubtedly spend several evenings calling each person who signs individually to inform them of his son’s decision.

For those keeping score, we now have competing websites pushing for Manning, and the Titans version (comehomepeyton.com) is much more lyrical, and therefore much more painful.

Thanks, Omar Kelly
