We can only assume that it’s common practice and part of the NFL’s diabolical money making scheme to have the top prospects each year sign various items from teams that might draft them in the first round. The appetite for meaningless signatures that will be displayed forever behind a glass case of emotion on a sports den wall is insatiable, and missing out on an opportunity to make money is something the NFL just doesn’t do, ever.

Still, even though it’s a near certainty Robert Griffin III will be a Redskin in nine days, it looks downright weird to see him signing a line of helmets, and essentially endorsing the logo of a team that he has no official affiliation with yet.
