After basking in a bevy of riches for what seemed like eons, the Giants situation at running back has become a major source of concern early this season.
First it was rookie David Wilson fumbling on opening night and subsequently being stapled to the bench. Then on Sunday Ahmad Bradshaw hurt his neck and had to leave the game.
The news got worse today. Bradshaw has been ruled out of tomorrow night’s game against the Carolina Panthers, according to USA today reporter Mike Garafolo. WR Domenik Hixon and RT David Diehl will also miss the game.
With Wilson struggling to regain the faith of Tom Coughlin, Andre Brown is expected to receive the majority of the workload. Brown was excellent against the Bucs after taking over for Bradshaw, averaging 5.5 yards per carry and adding a touchdown. For fantasy owners in search of a flex RB, Brown is worth a play.
Update: Via the Giants official twitter account, Hakeem Nicks has also been ruled out for tomorrow night.
