After injuring his shoulder during Buffalo’s 24-14 win over Cleveland, it was believed Bills RB CJ Spiller would miss at least a week. According to PFT Spiller’s shoulder is healing faster than expected and could return to practice later this week.

The Bills could be bolstered by the presence of both Fred Jackson and Spiller for the biggest game of the season thus far at home against New England. Spiller’s health should be monitored closely as it’s a pretty favorable match up for the breakout star of the 2012 campaign.

Michael Bush has a shoulder injury
Spiller isn’t the only RB with a shoulder injury. According to Bears beat reporter Vaughn Mcclure, Michael Bush has a problem with his ac joint but wouldn’t confirm it when approached by Mcclure. With Matt Forte out, Kahlil Bell will get his fair share of touches this week. Bell is owned in just 0.2% of ESPN leagues, but that should change soon.

Joe McKnight moves to CB
Not a typo, really. In lieu of the season ending injury suffered by Darrelle Revis, the Jets are turning to McKnight who was a star CB in high school. He hasn’t played the position since – but if Troy Brown could do it, why not? In all seriousness this cements Bilal Powell’s place near the top of the Jets depth chart at RB.

Jon Stewart practices, toe still bothering him

The Panthers RB is still having toe troubles – this time a different part of the same toe that’s been bothering him for what seems like forever. However, Stew did practice today and Ron Rivera thinks he’ll be ready for Sunday. Check back tomorrow for more news on this front.

Reggie Bush held out of practice

The knee injury appears to be minor and the Dolphins are playing it safe, but Bush missed practice today. Dolphins beat reporter Armando Salguero states the RB will return to practice soon as the swelling and stiffness are gone from his left knee. Whether he’s ready for Sunday’s game against the unbeaten Cardinals remains to be seen. Get in on that Daniel Thomas action while you can.

Maclin good to go

In a move designed with this week’s match up with the Giants in mind, Jeremy Maclin was held out of the Eagles loss against the Cardinals. The WR practiced today and should be good to go for Sunday night’s clash. On the other side Hakeem Nicks is done practicing on Wednesdays. For news on his status Thursday will be the day to watch.
