Trent Richardson owners held their breath for a few moments Sunday after the Browns running back left Cleveland’s game against the Cincinnati Bengals with what some were calling a “flank” injury. Although the team tweeted that his return was probable, Richardson didn’t return, finishing with 37 yards on 14 carries.
Thankfully, after undergoing an MRI today, it looks like the news on Richardson is far better than the doom surrounding DeMarco Murray.

Week 7 cold be huge for Richardson owners, with a date against the Indianapolis Colts defense upcoming. The Colts just allowed Jets running back Shonn Greene to run for 161 yards and three scores. Greene, who has frustrated fantasy owners for two seasons now, had been brutal over the five weeks prior to his breakout game, running for only 217 yards on an average of just 2.9 yard per carry. Overall the Colts run defense allows 159.0 yards per game, good for 29th in the NFL.
Montario Hardesty filled in nicely Sunday with 56 yards on the ground and one touchdown. If Richardson can’t go, picking up Hardesty — who is owned in 2 percent of Yahoo leagues and just 0.4 % of ESPN leagues — is well worth the gamble.
