If you drafted Raiders’ running back Darren McFadden with an early pick in your fantasy draft this year, his nagging injuries and inconsistency have probably drove you to become an alcoholic. Well maybe you didn’t become a full blown alcoholic, but you’ve probably added booze-to-mouth more than you’d like to admit.

If this is the case, maybe you should stop reading this post…

McFadden missed practice today with a reported high ankle sprain, and if he truly has a high ankle sprain, there is no way he’s suiting up against the Ravens on Sunday. This is a great opportunity for back-up running back Marcel Reece, who is poised to get the majority of touches for as long as RUN DMC is glued to the pine.

Look out, here comes more hurt…

  • Owen Daniels (hip): The Texans TE missed practice today with a “very sore” hip, and is questionable for Sunday’s game against the Bears. This season Daniels has become a favourite end-zone target of QB Matt Schaub, with five TDs in eight games. [Tania Ganguli]
  • Stevie Johnson (thigh): Johnson did not practice today due to a thigh injury, but isn’t expected to miss Sunday’s AFC East showdown with the New England Patriots. [Buffalo Bills]
  • Jake Locker (shoulder): The Titans starting QB has been medically cleared to start taking reps in practice and could suit up for Tennessee’s game against Miami on Sunday. Fantasy owners desperate for a QB should be cautious and monitor his progress before inserting him into their starting line-up. [The Score]
  • Percy Harvin (ankle): According to Vikings’ head-coach Leslie Frazier, Harvin’s made a lot of progress and could be a game time decision for Minnesota’s clash with Detroit on Sunday afternoon. The phrase “game time decision” scares the crap out of me, and if you own Harvin, you should make alternate plans for your WR1 slot. You know, just in case. [ESPN Twin Cities]
