So, do you think Ndamukong Suh intentionally kicked Matt Schaub straight in the nuts? I don’t, although Suh definitely lost any benefit of any doubt long ago, and that’s largely driving the desire to have him thrown into a fiery pit every time he does something remotely questionable.

There will be no death by fire this time, though, as NFL spokesman Greg Aiello was just brave enough to notify the Internet that Suh won’t be suspended. However, a fine remains a possibility.

For good measure, here’s a super slow-mo replay of the kick heard ’round Schaub’s jock strap during the Lions-Texans Thanksgiving Day game. Feel free to conduct your own detailed frame-by-frame analysis while zooming in on a man’s groin.

There’s an extra movement at the end which has drawn the football-watching public’s ire and led to the conclusion that Suh did that on his own, as opposed to the rest of his falling motion which was involuntary. That may or may not be true, but without the ability to read brain waves the league can’t make a definitive statement on Suh’s intention, and Roger Goodell et al have determined that his action wasn’t flagrant enough to warrant a suspension.

The fantasy impact here? Well, Andrew Luck would have enjoyed not having a frothing beast chasing after him next week. This I’m sure of, and alas, that faint dream will no longer become reality.
