According to Cleveland Browns head coach Pat Shurmur, QB Brandon Weeden will be practicing this week and may suit up for the Browns game against the Raiders on Sunday afternoon.

Weeden suffered a concussion late in the fourth quarter of the Browns’ week 12 win over the Pittsburgh Steelers after being hammered into the left knee of teammate Joe Thomas.

Although the Raiders have the NFL’s 24th ranked defense, there‘s no reason to pick up Weeden in your fantasy league unless you’re seriously desperate for a quarterback.  Since week seven he hasn’t thrown for more than 220 yards and has only three touchdown passes. Not the kind of production you want from a QB1 (these would be putrid numbers for a QB2), especially if your team is desperately clawing to get into a playoff spot.

If you insist on ignoring this advice* and want to take a chance on Weeden, he’s available in 92.7% of ESPN leagues and 88% of Yahoo leagues.

*Seriously, don’t ignore this advice. No matter how stupid you think I am (the answer is probably very).
