A few days ago WCCO’s Mike Max dropped a bombshell, stating Percy Harvin didn’t leave the team during the season solely due to injury.
Multiple sources tell Max that Harvin had an embarrassing tirade directed toward Frasier, disrespecting the coach during the season when Harvin was sidelined with an injured ankle. Teammates were present, and Max was told that is when Harvin left the team and was put on injured reserve.
Max’s sources say Harvin’s teammates weren’t happy after his tirade. Before we start concocting elaborate trade proposals it’s worth nothing this is a report from a CBS affiliate in Minnesota. That said, Harvin has had his run ins with Vikings coaches before, most notably former Head Coach Brad Childress.
On Monday, the NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reported Harvin hasn’t issued an ultimatum to team management, but the wideout does believe he should be paid like a top WR. Speaking to a source close to Harvin, Rapoport states the former Gator and his agent will open a dialogue with the Vikings at the NFL scouting combine.
Stay tuned. This is going to get interesting.
