4.19. That’s the number that has left NFL scouts aghast, after watching Northern Iowa WR Terrell Sinkfield run the 40 at the University of Minnesota’s pro day. For those skeptical of such a ridiculous time, ESPN.com is here to help.
“The blazing time came in his second attempt at the 40 and was so fast that he was asked to run a third time, something none of the other prospects who participated in the pro day was asked to do, according to FoxSportsNorth.com.”
Sinkfield ran a 4.27 on his first attempt and a 4.4 on his final run. It’s the middle time that will have NFL talent evaluators searching for Sinkfield’s game tape as the draft approaches. Again, the time is unverified but this is still pretty remarkable. Chris Johnson ran a 4.24 in 2008, the fastest official time recorded at the combine.
