Kansas City Chiefs v Denver Broncos

With only about $8 million to spend in free agency, the New York Jets will take a ‘cost friendly approach’ to create competition for incumbent Mark Sanchez at the Quarterback position.

The New York Daily News’ Manish Mehta reports former Jacksonville Jaguar David Garrard, who worked out the Jets facility last week, and Brady Quinn are on General Manager John Idzik’s radar.

Quinn started eight games for the Kansas City Chiefs last season. The former Notre Dame star threw for 1,141 yards, two touchdowns and eight interceptions for a QB rating of 60.1.
