Super Bowl XLVII - Baltimore Ravens v San Francisco 49ers

Update 3:27 pm

The Baltimore Ravens hope to retain the services of Linebacker Dannell Ellerbe, one of the top free agents at his position. The Baltimore Sun’s Aaron Wilson reports the Ravens remain in talks with Ellerbe after meeting with his agent at the NFL scouting combine.

“There’s always a chance, and that’s what I’m hoping will happen,” Ellerbe said. “The Ravens are a perfect situation for me. Hopefully, it’s a perfect situation for me to sign on the dotted line.”

According to Wilson, the Ravens are expected to make the Georgia product a significant offer prior to the start of free agency. Ellerbe is the Ravens number one priority now that Joe Flacco is under contract. With Ray Lewis retiring and Jameel McClain recovering from a spinal cord contusion, re-signing Ellbere will be huge for John Harbaugh’s defence.
