According to Geoff Mosher of CSNPhilly.com, the Philadelphia Eagles are interested in boosting their wide receiving corps by adding the St. Louis Rams’ Danny Amendola.
They’re interested in pursuing Rams wide receiver Danny Amendola, a person with direct knowledge of the team’s free agency plans told CSNPhilly.com. Amendola, who has two 60-plus catch seasons in the past three years, is one of the NFL’s most productive slot wideouts, although he can also play outside and is an excellent return specialist.
If he signed with the Eagles (he was on the their practice squad in 2009), Amendola would join a stable of WRs that already includes: Pro Bowler DeSean Jackson, Jeremy Maclin, Jason Avant and Damaris Johnson.
During the 2012 season, Amendola missed five games with a clavicle injury, but still managed to haul in 63 catches for 666 yards and 3 touchdowns.
