ESPN’s Adam Schefter is reporting that the St. Louis Rams are set to part ways with Pro Bowl safety Quintin Mikell.
Safety market increases: Rams will release veteran safety Quintin Mikell on Monday.

Mikell, who is one of the most durable safeties in the NFL (he has only missed one game in the past five seasons), is set to make $6 million next season, so his release would give the Rams some much needed cap relief.
In 16 games in 2012, the 32 year-old Mikell recorded 101 tackles, 3.0 sackes and 4 forced fumbles.
