Tampa Bay Buccaneers v Dallas Cowboys

This offseason, the Seattle Seahawks have started to rebuild their defense with an added emphasis on getting into the quarterback’s face (they finished 18th in the NFL last year with only 36 sacks).

Yesterday, the Seahawks signed former Detroit Lion Cliff Avril. Today, they’ve made another splash in the free agent pool, signing former Buccaneers DE Michael Bennett.

Bennett, who visited with the Miami Dolphins today (most thought he was heading to Miami), had 41 tackles, 3 forced fumbles and 9 sacks in 16 games with the Bucs last year.

The signings of Avril and now Bennett will help a Seahawks’ pass rush that lost defensive end Chris Clemons with a torn ACL late last season.
