Pro Football Talk’s Mike Florio reports a league source has told him the Bucs are shopping CB Eric Wright. The former UNLV Rebel was signed by the Bucs to a five-year $37.5 million deal on March 12th, 2012.
Wright was suspended for four games after violating the league’s performance-enhancing drugs policy last season. His $7.75 million base salary for 2013 is no longer guaranteed after being suspended.
Florio speculates that with the current cornerback market what it is, Wright would have to restructure his deal in order to facilitate a trade.
