Made possible by DraftStreet.

Earlier this week, we mentioned that DraftStreet was ramping up their offer to theScore readers, including an increased prize pool and a fun new element to their weekly fantasy competition called Beat The Experts.

Not only is there $2500 in guaranteed prize money this time, but each entrant can win an additional $5 simply by beating theScore. The payout will work like this:

For a chance at the $600 grand prize, and the opportunity to prove you know more than us about fantasy football, the cost to you is only $11.

Just to make things even easier for you, we’re also offering three tips for selecting your team this week.

  1. Always be on the lookout for a player set to ascend because of an injury. Prime examples this week are Harry Douglas (Julio Jones is out for the season, and Roddy White could sit out Week 7, too), and Jarrett Boykin (another situation with possibly two receivers out in Green Bay between Randall Cobb and James Jones).
  2. Don’t overlook a player on a poor or under-performing team. Although he’s likely out this week, this often happens with Cecil Shorts, who’s been a garbage time hero as the Jaguars get spanked (averaging 82.2 receiving yards per game). This week fellow Jags receiver Justin Blackmon will be targeted even more often after his 326 yards and 19 catches over just two games.
  3. Try to find value, not bargains. Coming into the season, Chris Johnson looked like a great option, but he’s been horrible and his low cost in a salary cap league might seem like the type of flyer you’d like to take. However, don’t forget that he’s a running back who’s averaging only 3.1 yards per carry, running against the 49ers this week. Stay away.

As always, selecting a team is very easy. You’re given a $100,000 salary cap, and each player is assigned a price by DraftStreet. You select a roster of players to cover these positions: 2 QBs, 2 RBs, 2 WRs, 1 TE, 2 FLEX, and 1 Defense/Special Teams. Once you’ve selected a roster for the coming week’s action, you receive points based on how the players on your team perform. The teams with the most points get the prize money. It’s just like a regular fantasy league, only you’re playing week-to-week.

Your roster must be decided before 1:00 PM ET on Sunday, so you have until then to create your winning team.

Since 2010, over 250,000 players have tried Draftstreet, earning more than $60,000,000 in winnings. To get in on the money, all you have to do is follow these three steps:

1.  Sign up at Draftstreet;

2.  Pick your favorite NFL players; and

3.  Beat theScore.
