Matt Stafford will be back in the dome and more importantly out of the snow, which slowed down the Lions’ passing game last week. Expect Stafford to return to fantasy form, even against the Ravens’ defense… Cam Newton may not have a big day in terms of yards, because the Panthers’ defense will be winning the field position battle all afternoon. Newton will make up for it by finding the end zone multiple times… Philip Rivers was held in check by the Broncos earlier this season, so there are no guarantees that he will benefit from a potential Thursday night shootout in Denver. Rivers is a high-risk/high-reward play in Week 15… Andrew Luck is back in the top ten after a second-half surge against the Bengals that saw him finish with four touchdowns. On top of that, he plays the Houston Texans, who are mailing it in so hard they lost to the Jaguars twice in the last three weeks… If Tom Brady got you this far, then you’re likely going to go down swinging with the Patriots’ offense… The Bears get a much tougher test this week with the Browns’ defense. Regardless of whether Josh McCown or Jay Cutler starts, they will be ranked just outside the top ten.

Even without the snow, LeSean McCoy will be running down the field with defenders chasing him again this week… Knowshon Moreno has been great, but Montee Ball is eating into his carries and that will likely prevent him from having a truly elite day… Alfred Morris will be asked to power the Redskins’ Kirk Cousins-led offense the rest of the season. Lucky for Morris, he gets the Falcons in Week 15… There plenty of injured running backs to keep an eye on this week, including Adrian Peterson, Maurice Jones-Drew and Eddie Lacy. Peterson is likely out, MJD seems doubtful and Lacy’s status is still up in the air. If they miss the week, Toby Gerhart, Jordan Todman and James Starks will all be excellent RB2 options… Reggie Bush may also come down to a game-time decision on Monday night. While Bush seems like he should play, Joique Bell is a low-end RB1 whenever Bush is sidelined… The Saints have a strong matchup with the Rams, but the three-headed monster of Pierre Thomas, Darren Sporles and Mark Ingram limits their upside… Fred Jackson, Danny Woodhead, Rashard Mendenhall, and Andre Ellington all have the chance to be surprising stars for your team this week.

Josh Gordon is finally getting his due and has moved into the second spot under Calvin Johnson this week. That’s where you should play him this week, and that’s where you should draft him next year… Alshon Jeffery also cracks the top five with his undeniable talent. Jeffery and Brandon Marshall have taken over the title of best receiver duo from Julio Jones and Roddy White… Speaking of White, you can play him with confidence now. Unfortunately for you, your team may not be in playoffs because of his early season injury woes… Antonio Brown is officially matchup-proof. They only thing that can stop him is the sideline… No one needs Aaron Rodgers back under centre more than Jordy Nelson. If Rodgers plays, Nelson will be a WR1, but if he doesn’t he is a low-end WR2… Tough to guess how the targets will play out in Washington with Cousins at the helm. Either way, Pierre Garcon will get his… Much like the Lions’ receivers, expect DeSean Jackson and Riley Cooper to get back to dominating in less wintery conditions… Even in a bad matchup, Kendall Wright will deliver a steady fantasy day in the area of 10 points. If you need 20-point upside from that spot, Wright isn’t your man… Cordarrelle Patterson is emerging down the stretch and there is no better secondary to be facing than the Eagles. Enjoy.

The tight end landscape just doesn’t look the same without Rob Gronkowski… Julius Thomas returns this week and just in time for the Broncos, who will be without Wes Welker. With Gronk gone, Thomas is the top tight end to own outside of Jimmy Graham… Jordan Cameron was on the verge of nosediving down the rankings, but his big game in Week 14 gives him new life. The Bears give up the eighth most points to tight ends, so Cameron is a very attractive start this week… Dennis Pitta didn’t waste any time getting back to being a TE1… If Delanie Walker gets cleared from his concussion, he’s facing a very tight end friendly Cardinals’ defense… Ladarius Green had a miserable game in Week 14, but he is still a dynamic talent in a high volume pass offense… With Welker out, Jacob Tamme slides in as a high-upside play on Thursday night.

Peyton Manning has cooled off a bit recently and the Broncos’ offense has looked out of sync at times, but are you bold enough to bench him for any other quarterback?… Matt Stafford hasn’t had a multi-touchdown game against the Packers since Week 17 in 2011. Green Bay’s starting quarterback that day was Matt Flynn and their starter on Thursday - you guessed it Frank Stallone Matt Flynn… Not sure what’s happening with the Texans right now, but Tom Brady will be happy to capitalize… Unless you have an elite option at quarterback, you have to consider Josh McCown this week, as he faces an extremely generous Minnesota pass defense… Coming off their bye weeks, Russell Wilson and Andy Dalton are QB1s… Andrew Luck has a bad matchup and if you need a win this week, there are better options.

rivers post2

Last week’s matchup with the Broncos didn’t result in the shootout that Philip Rivers’ owners were hoping for and they may be wondering whether the 31-year-old Charger is primed for a late season slip. Despite his failure to post Manning-like numbers in Week 10 (he was a little more Eli than Peyton), Rivers is a quarterback you’ll want on your roster for the fantasy playoffs.

locker again2

Flying under the radar on a team that doesn’t get much national buzz, Jake Locker has put together a solid campaign despite an injury, which cost him a few weeks of action. With a very favorable schedule going forward, including the Jaguars twice, Locker could be the perfect solution for Aaron Rodgers owners.
