49er-Packers

Not much of a surprise here, but for Frank Gore owners Jacobs’ absence means the likelihood of a Michael Bush-stealing-Matt-Forte’s-touchdowns scenario isn’t likely in this one. Ginn and Jacobs were both expected to miss today’s game and should be good for next week. Rookie WR AJ Jenkins was declared active at the expense of LaMichael James. We will see plenty of Gore and Kendall Hunter today.

Seahawks-Cardinals

As we mentioned earlier today, Marshawn Lynch is good to start this afternoon. He will see a limited workload, so expect Robert Turbin to equal Lynch’s carries. As expected Golden Tate was declared inactive. Beanie Wells will be available for the Cardinals, but Ryan Williams will be the more important player in this one.

This morning Stewart ruled himself out of today’s game against the Buccaneers with a brief statement on his twitter account and facebook page. DeAngelo Williams will get the bulk of the carries in his absence, with offseason addition Mike Tolbert taking on goal-line duties. Williams’ owners will undoubtedly go mental when Tolbert plunges into the endzone on a one-yard run as the featured back stands on the sidelines.

Such is life in what is now a running back by committee league.
