San Jose’s Ryane Clowe took home the NHL’s first star of the week honours after registering three goals and five assists in four games.  Clowe, who’s been playing some disciplined hockey this season other than the six fights he’s been in, helped San Jose win three of four last week.

Marc-Andre Fleury was named the second star of the week while posting a perfect 3-0 record, helping the Penguins take their winning streak to 12 games.  Rick Nash rounds out the week’s stars, the Columbus Blue Jackets’ forward three goals and six points in three games.

Fleury’s big week probably contributed to the exclusion of Nashville’s Anders Lindback in this week’s honours. Lindback was spectacular in three games and recorded a shutout on Saturday with the Predators while picking up the number one duties from the injured Pekka Rinne.
