Playoffs or no playoffs (it’s no playoffs), the Calgary Flames will end the 2010-11 season on an uplifting note as centre Daymond Langkow is set to return after missing 88 games with neck injury. Langkow will suit up to play the Blues in St. Louis on Friday.

Calgary, AB – The Calgary Flames announced today that center Daymond Langkow has been removed from long term injury (LTI) and is expected to be in the Flames line-up when they play the Blues on April 1st in St. Louis.

Langkow suffered a freak injury just over a year ago when he took a shot from teammate Ian White in the back of his neck. It was a long and difficult recovery for Langkow, who has one more year left at a $4.5 million cap hit on a 4-year deal.
