Frustration Mounts For Ducks Fans With Two Late Disallowed Goals

The Dallas Stars hung on to beat the Ducks after a wild finish that saw Anaheim on the wrong end of two disallowed goals late in the game. The Ducks still sit in 7th in the West despite the loss, but they allowed Dallas to keep their slim playoff hopes alive by surrendering two points in the standings.

Mandi Schwartz Passes Away After Long Battle With Cancer

Some very sad news as Yale women’s hockey player, and inspiration to so many, Mandi Schwartz died on Sunday following a much publicized fight with cancer. She was 23-years old.

Ovechkin Continues Parade of Photo Ops

Someone must have let Alex Ovechkin know that his Twitter account wasn’t worth following as he’s transformed his stream into a who’s who of celebrity photo ops. Ovechkin tweeted a shot of himself with First Lady Michelle Obama (stay for the Photoshops!) from Friday, and then dropped a photo of he and his Capitals teammates hanging out with hip-hop heavyweights Lil’ Wayne and Drake.

Calgary Not Dead, Not Yet

The Flames managed to stave off mathematical elimination with a 2-1 win over the Colorado Avalanche on Sunday. Miikka Kiprusoff was the difference on this night, making 34 saves.
