As first reported by Sportsnet’s Nick Kypreos, Jarret Stoll of the L.A. Kings has been suspended one game for his hit on San Jose’s Ian White Thursday night.

That’s a huge blow for the Kings, who are already shorthanded down the middle with Anze Kopitar out for the playoffs.

Stoll boarded Ian White while he was attempting to work the puck along the board behind his own net. There was no call on the play, and White did not return following the incident. It was the type of hit that may not have looked like much from most angles, but the replay shows that Stoll blatantly slammed White’s face into the glass from behind.
