NHL ref Chris Rooney knocked out of playoffs

Chris Rooney’s post-season officiating duties came to an abrupt end on Sunday afternoon after he stumbled behind the Washington net in the second period. Rooney went down in pain after attempting to skate off his bumps, he reportedly suffered a broken fibula and is done for the season.

Chara travels, status still up in the air

The Boston Globe reports that Zdeno Chara will travel with the Bruins to Montreal, but head coach Claude Julien refused to comment on his status for Game 3 on Monday.
