Russia would best Finland by a score of 4-2 to round out the 2011 Euro Hockey Tour in a tuneup for the upcoming World Championship. The Russia team downed Sweden on Thursday, thus taking home the tournament title early. Things got nasty in the final game of the tournament, though.
We’re still trying to clarify a few details on this, but a line brawl between the Russian and Finnish squads erupted in during the contest. Several familiar faces involved in this scuffle including Mikko Koivu, Tuomo Ruutu and Evegeny Artyukhin. It appears as though a hard hit from Ruutu was what got things started.
