The guys and girls here at theScore.com spent a good portion of the last few days poring over the archives in search of the best plays by the last ten first overall draft picks. That’s a task I’d never want to undertake on my own, but we have to give everybody a round of applause for their keen research and evaluation skills.

This type of video list is always up for interpretation, but we’ve got ourselves a pretty solid set of highlights here. As much as I lobbied to have Erik Johnson’s golf cart spill included as his greatest play, I’ll admit that they may have found a better clip of the 2006 first overall pick. Here are your top ten plays from the last ten #1 picks, with a finish that should have Doug MacLean smiling from ear-to-ear:
