The Winnipeg Endless-Nameless have named Claude Noel as head coach, according to TSN. Noel is familiar with Winnipeg and the MTS Centre, as he coached the AHL’s Manitoba Moose last season. He was an assistant coach under Ken Hitchcock in Columbus for parts of three seasons before assuming head coaching duties on interim basis in February of 2010.

Noel will take over coaching duties from Craig Ramsay, who coached the Atlanta Thrashers last season. Ramsay was in consideration for the Winnipeg coaching gig, but was informed that he would not be brought back last week.

Now if we could just get these guys a name and a sweater for tomorrow’s draft…

    I like what you did here. Why haven’t they named the team, anyway? There must be something in the way.

  2. “There must be something in the way.”

    Nice. =)

  3. You know, you’re right! There must be something in the way, otherwise they would have given us at least a sliver of information already. If they don’t release anything by the end of tomorrow I may just have an aneurysm.

    I was thinking along the same lines as Drew when I read “Endless-Nameless”; wasn’t too thrilled to see someone beat me to the punch…
