New Jersey Devils forward David Steckel has become the latest former Washington Capitals player to take a shot at Alexander Semin this summer. As you may recall from a couple of weeks back, Matt Bradley took to criticizing the Capitals’ culture on a radio show and said that Semin, although ridiculously talented, “just doesn’t care”. Steckel backed up Bradley’s comments on Wednesday.
In speaking with Tarik El-Bashir of the Washington Post at the Capitals practice facility of all places, Steckel matter-of-factly agreed with Bradley’s assessment of their former team:
And to reiterate, Steckel agrees with Bradley on Semin:
Ok, cue the throng of angry Capitals and Russian hockey fans that are about to leap to Semin’s defense on this. You know, maybe there’s something to the notion that Semin doesn’t care. We’re currently about one trolling ‘enigmatic Russian’ post away from a full-scale Twitter-sphere explosion.
