Last week we shared a clip from Sophia Jurksztowicz’s wonderful conversation with Brian Burke, in which the Leafs GM told the story of nearly having a barn fight (like those are a common thing?) with then-Oilers GM Kevin Lowe.

Today we bring you the rest of the highlights from their hour long talk, which our wonderful video team has parsed down to about 23 minutes of reduced awesomeness. Topics include: being unable to trade with Darcy Regier, wanting to punch players who complain about ice time, and most importantly, his take on gay rights and homophobic slurs in hockey.

Enjoy Brian Burke as you’ve never seen him before. We know we did.

  1. Third jerseys are typically worn only a few times a season by special permission of the league, based on a list of requested games. They can also be worn during selected playoff games. However, The Toronto Maple Leafs used their white third jerseys very often, whether at home or on the road, and to many it seems that they wear the third mlb jerseys at home more than they wear their regular home jerseys during home games. The third jersey program, as the NHL came to call it, was discontinued for the 2007–08 season, with the introduction of the Rbk Edge jersey, but was reintroduced for the 2008–09 season.
