Cam Ward and Drayson Bowman featured prominently in tonight’s Carolina win over the Canucks despite being the punchline to a couple of jokeson Tuesday against Toronto.
Bowman scored twice for the Hurricanes and Ward made 33 saves en route to a 4-3 come from behind victory over the Canucks who led 2-0 halfway through the second period. With the win the Hurricanes move to 2-5-1 under new head coach Kirk Muller.
The Canucks had a glorious opportunity to tie the game when Keith Ballard found himself alone with his thoughts in front of the Hurricanes goal. Cam Ward was up to the task and came up with what has to be the save of the night.
Take a look…
Well done by Ballard to find the only possible way to have his shot stopped by Ward.
That’s the hockey equivalent to a quarterback hitting his man in stride.
