This guy is generally really, really good.

So, the Nashville Predators beat the Detroit Red Wings by a 4-3 score tonight in Nashville. Jimmy Howard had a brutal night, only stopping 17 of 21 shots en route to the loss. On the flip side, Pekka Rinne stopped 37 of 40 shots for the Preds which was enough to get the win.

Rinne had a little bit of help as Pavel Datsyuk was distinctly un-Datsyuk-ian when he flubbed a WIDE OPEN net after a beautiful cross-crease feed from Todd Bertuzzi.

Watch and contain your shock.

You may want to burn your clothes and watch a Datsyuk highlight reel to return to a much happier time.

  2. It wasn’t in the greatest position for him to shoot at it. Nice pass, but not where Pavel needed it to be to catch all of it
