Of course it's in the net

Patrick Kane in the shootout is getting pretty comical. There was that who debacle in Minnesota involving Niklas Backstrom’s jock, that whole superman thing at the all-star game which was a cute idea and now today’s latest events concerning Jimmy Howard’s dignity.

Take a look at this move which is straight out of the trick stick manual from NHL 06.

Kane’s thoughts were about as deep as you would hope from a guy who just embarrassed a goaltender in that fashion.

Unfortunately for those of us who enjoy highlight reels, the shootout is no more as of today. As much as I hate the skills competition deciding games, I love seeing moves like this one.
