Sorry about the spoiler of a headline – maybe you had already heard?

Specifically, we talked about:

* Jonathan Quick deserving the Conn Smythe

* Steve Bernier’s hit on Rob Scuderi

* Jarret Stoll’s sort-of hit on Stephen Gionta

* The Cup celebration

* Brodeur returning to the Devils

* Parise…who knows

* Whose beerability went up post Cup win

* And much, much more.

This sucks, but we’re going to scale back the podcast during summer to 1-2 shows a week. We’ll always do at least one though, and I’ll let you know soon what day/time they’ll be out (follow me on Twitter to be sure not to miss it). In the meantime….the final show of the 2011-2012 NHL season. Congratulations to the Los Angeles Kings!

  1. In regards to booing Bettman, I think a lot of LA fans are casual/bandwagon and probably don’t know the tradition. However, there was some discussion amongst real LA fans (people who actually know hockey) about not booing Bettman because we’d never won a cup before and we didn’t want to sully the moment of the team’s first win.

    Anyways, great show guys. Looking forward to next season.

  2. Actually, they didn’t introduce Bettman at all. I suspect that was a large part of it, as they normally do intro him by title. Plus let’s face it, he’s insignificant (when your team has just broken the 44 year drought).
