There’s a new, awesome hockey charity event on the loose and it not only involves a great cause, it also involves professional athletes looking silly.

Smashfest is a ping-pong tournament headed up by Dominic Moore (who I seem to like more every day…moore every day…sorry) that raises money for concussion research. Hopefully, this is just the first of many fundraisers of its kind that go towards a cause that needs to be focused on.

The video of the event is pretty entertaining, if only because watching professional hockey players play ping pong is kind of like watching offensive linemen try to stand up straight – hilarious, awkward and adorable.

  1. Claude Giroux only showed up because he thought it was a beer pong tournament.
