Thoughts:
- If you missed out on Malkin, you don’t have to panic with the likes of Crosby, Stamkos, H. Sedin and Giroux to choose from in the 2-5 slots in the first round. Only Ovechkin was projected to record more points than these five (51), so it’s likely the top five picks will all be centres.
TSN projected the following point totals:
Malkin: 63 points
Crosby: 61 points
Stamkos: 55 points
H. Sedin: 53 points
Giroux: 48 points
- After the top five, target Jonathan Toews and Eric Staal. Staal should improve on his numbers from last year (70 points in 82 games) and has his brother Jordan in the mix now in Carolina.
- Watch the injury to Anze Kopitar closely. He is not expected to play in the Kings opener Saturday.
- Take Pavel Datsyuk early just becuase he can do this!
and this!
Good luck in your draft!

it would be sweet if you could post links to the respective rankings
If the rankings for Sedin are correct, then his average is 7, not 11.2. This would but him 4th, behind Malkin, Crosby and Stamkos yet ahead of Giroux.
Giroux’s are incorrect too, his average should be 4.75
On TSN, Malkin was 2, Crosby was 1, Giroux was 3 and Stamkos was 4 for overall players / all positions. Are we sure it was reordered for centers?

Average for Giroux fixed
Wow, NHL.com hates Backstrom.
Isnt Jamie Benn a winger
Isn’t Jamie Benn a winger?
no, he plays center
also.. instead of taking toews or staal after those top 5.. are you nuts, grab john tavares.. toews kinda reminda me of a more talented mike richards.. just friggin fantastic at the game of hockey, but from a poolie perspective, tavares will rip shit up this year
