Tommy McCollum is a goaltender in the Detroit Red Wings’ system who naturally has a connection with Tommy Boy (the name Tommy, you fool). Thus, he decided he’d get Chris Farley painted on his mask. That…um…that’s him(?), on the mask’s backplate.
Sean Gentille wrote about the mask for the Sporting News including:
“Hey, I’ll tell you what. You can get a good look at a goalie’s mask by sticking your head up there. But, wouldn’t you rather to take his word for it? No, I mean is, you can get a good look at a kick save by sticking your head up a goalie’s mask… No, wait. It’s gotta be your goalie.”
…which I have no chance of topping, because it is fantastic.

Fantastic mask idea. Unfortunately, the finished product leaves a little something to be desired.
