There’s something fitting about the sound “Yak” being associated with the sound “Jag,” but that could just be coming from someone who spends too much time at the pub. Anyway, today Nail Yakupov shared a picture of himself at 11-years old during the last lockout on Twitter, standing alongside then-NHL great Jaromir Jagr. I can’t believe Jagr is still in the league.

Eagle gloves are far and away superior to anything Bauer or CCM has put out in years. The mid level Eagle stuff is better than the Bauer or CCM top end stuff. Warrior doesn’t get there either.
Put ‘em together and you have a total Jag-ov.

That’s a pretty cool story. I think its great that Jagr is still playing and still looking good. Must be awesome to play on the same ice as one of your favorite legends.
