UPDATE: Bob McKenzie is reporting that the Rangers are sending the Sharks a 2nd round pick, a 3rd round pick (originally from Florida) and a conditional 2nd round pick (that will become a 5th rounder if the Rangers can’t re-sign Clowe or they don’t win 2 playoff rounds).
According to a report by Pierre LeBrun, the New York Rangers have acquired Ryane Clowe from the San Jose Sharks.
Ryane Clowe has told the Sharks he’s waiving his NTC to go to the New York Rangers. Sharks need to complete deal now

Clowe has struggled mightily this season, collecting 11 points in 28 games. The shocking part: none of these points are goals.
Despite his mediocre season (mediocre may be putting it hilariously too kindly), Clowe is a 6’2 225 pound forward with good offensive skill. His two 20+ goal seasons and three 50+ point season (including 24 goals and 62 points in 2010-11) mean that the Rangers are adding another weapon to their ridiculous arsenal as they continue to try and claw their way back into the upper echelon of the Eastern conference.
It still hasn’t been announced what is coming back to the Sharks in the deal.
